The Role of Tabriz in Islamic Revolution of Iran

Most of movements in Iran which were against despotism and colonialiam, characterized by the overall and publicity. The people of Azerbaijan and Tabriz have very important role in Islamic revolution of Iran headed by Imam Khomeini. This attendance was on the base of one shared religious identity and culture and despite that qom was the starting point of this movement, but Tabriz did many efforts in realization of successful of this revolution. Ayatollah Ghazi Tabatabaei as the representative of imam Khomeini in Azerbaijan, guided the movement in this region and therefore arrested and exiled because of his battle against despotism and colonialism.
